    Time

So it's time to pack my bags and head up north again. My family is waiting for a sweet and quiet X-mas. I've been running around doing shitloads of stuff just to figure out I still have about the half of it last to do for tomoro which is the last day before departure. I'm positive though... Have a lot to look forward to whilst back home, birthdays (mine and other's), gig's (the accident, dead man, skuggan av svampen), hang out with good old friends, my lovely sister and family. It's been a couple of rough months for me so I hope to the fullest that this will be a nice ending and a great start for some change in my everyday life. There's a lot of things I need to sort out, but with help and support it'll work out. This has also been a reason for not writing here so frequent as I would have wanted to... but I hope it'll be a change even in that matter.

    Perfume and Black Dahlia

I want to go and see two new movies that are just out. Both based on books I've read, but unfortunately they have gained medioker reviews in the film press. Have anyone seen them and willing to drop a line if it's worth going to the cinema? Or shopuld I wait til the dvd releases...?
The movies are "The Black Dahlia" by Brian De Palma and "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" by Tom Tykwer after Patrick Süskinds novel with the same name.

    Home again...

...and the Frida Hyvönen gig was just absolutely amazing - breathtaking tunes, intimate and intensive, private yet so open, wonderful poetic lyrics and witty humor. Afterwards me and oskar waited for Frida and her friend Asimina outside to go for a drink. We went to kamer 401 and had nice little chat about life, relations and the ever so present subject, art. I hadn't seen Assi in sooo many years, and we figured out we really didn't know much about eachother, but it was a pleasant surprise... a wonderful evening and it ended early as well... I'm off to bed now and tomorrow I will have a long Sunday walk & talk with Sejka, that's gonna be sweet too I believe...

    Paradiso...

...and now off to Paradiso to see Frida Hyvönen live. After that a sweet, juicy tuna steak is waiting to get seared and eaten with lime, koriander and chilli on a bed of rice... mmmmm!

    Simon Schama on Rothko

I've just been crying myself wet straight thru Simon Schama's Power Of Art on BBC 2 - Just how powerful is art? Mark Rothko believed that tradition was all used up; that figurative art no longer had what it took to connect us, viscerally, to the human tragedy. A fantastically told story of an artists soul in torment of the world to come and what became today...

The Shape Of Things To Come

Thursday December 7th, tomoro yeah, at 6pm is the opening of the groupshow "The Shape Of Things To Come" at Galleri Jonas Kleerup, Tegnérgatan 6 in Stockholm. I will show two paintings from the "Blaze In The Nordic Sky" series that I showed in Sweden in April. The show contains a whole bunch of artists, designers, photographers and you name it... everybody participates with a couple of pieces each and it will be a great party feel to it.The exhibition runs til the 23rd of December. Unfortunately will I not be able to go there myself, but I garantuee it will be cool anyways... An afterparty with drinks at Republik just around the corneris pleanned wich could be sweet. If that doesn't sounds to intriguing, one of my new favourite bands, The Durango Riot, will play at Debaser at slussen. They'll be on stage 8.45 and they will rock your socks off... Please go and check it out - I need some support even though I'm not at bay...
    Cheers

Having and art sale... Please have look

I've been running a parallel blog called artsale and this is some of the paintings I have posted there. Most of the work have been shown in various exhibitions in galleries, art fairs and in museums. They're off course in top trim but unfortunately they are just collecting dust in my storage right now. This is a way to get them out to new places and owners and for more people to enjoy my works. Please have a look and let me know what you think, comments are more than welcomed!
